About Kerri

Kerri Stewart, R.Ac.

Kerri studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine Academy (AIM) in Toronto (2009-2012). She began her journey into Eastern medicine, first through the study of Shiatsu (Japanese massage) and later, expanded into Acupuncture, Cupping, Tui-Na (Chinese massage), Gua-sha and Moxibustion.

Kerri has over 20 years experience in the complementary health industry including close to 10 years of clinical practice. She has developed a diverse practice which sees a variety of clients and conditions. As a traditionally trained Acupuncturist, she is experienced in treating a range of conditions, including; anxiety, allergies, autoimmune illness, chronic illness, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, infertility and reproductive imbalances, stress and sleep problems, as well as chronic and acute pain.

Kerri continues to deepen her knowledge in all aspects of health and healing but has a particular interest in Women’s Health. She has taken a number of additional courses over the years with a focus on Acupuncture for fertility & pregnancy. She is experienced in guiding women through the IVF (in-vitro fertilization) journey, and through discomfort in all stages of pregnancy, including preparing the body for labour and delivery. She also is experienced in treating Breech presentation.

Kerri is a graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (2007) where she studied and obtained a diploma in Holistic Nutrition. She believes good nutrition is the foundation for health, longevity and disease prevention. She is an advocate for natural living and strives to empower others so that they too may embody optimal health through living in alignment with nature’s cycles.

Her approach to treatment is based on the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Each treatment is uniquely formulated after a complete TCM assessment which includes analyzing the tongue and pulse. Treatments may incorporate a variety of TCM techniques including Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Cupping, Gua-sha & Tui-Na (Chinese Massage), as well as nutritional recommendations based on a blend of Eastern and Western nutrition. She may also draw on her knowledge of yoga, qi gong, breath work and meditation when making lifestyles recommendations.

After years of building her clinical practice, she is now opting for a slower pace and is excited to open her home based practice in the unique village of Coldwater, ON where she lives with her partner, Dan and their young daughter, Anikka. When Kerri is not seeng clients, you’ll find her and Ani, bicycling around town, chasing chickens and gazing at the moon.

Kerri is a member in good standing of the College of Traditional Chinese Medical Practitioners and Acupuncturists.
